Neighbors in Action (NIA) Food Share program operates out of Cabot and Lyndonville, serving three counties in the state where food insecurity is one of the top needs. Approximately 500 families receive a box of food every other week. And since several families reside in the Greensboro area, there is now a distribution site at the Greensboro United Church of Christ. This is more than a free food offering. This is an example of community – volunteers and neighbors working shoulder-to-shoulder to transport pre-packed boxes twice a month from Cabot to Greensboro where they are placed in the vehicles of pre-registered families during the hours of 11:45 and 1:00 pm.
