This request comes from Jenna O’Donnell at Hunger Free Vermont:

As many of you know, the Farmers to Families food distributions are shifting to a new format, starting next Monday (July 6th). And they need our help!

There will be distributions happening in 20-25 different locations across the state for the months of July and August. Some sites will be happening weekly, others will be alternating weeks.

We’re looking for volunteers to take a shift (or more!) to help out at the distributions. Specifically, you will be welcoming people as they drive up, checking them in, and sharing information/flyers with folks as they wait to pick up their food. It’s pretty straightforward, and we’ll have the information and process you’ll need to be supported – now we just need you!

This sign up sheet lists all of the distributions scheduled so far, with specific dates, times, and locations.

If you feel comfortable being on your feet for up to 5 hours, talking with our neighbors and community, and want to help connect people with the help we all deserve, please fill in your name, phone number, and email address into the sign up sheet for the date and location you can cover. Someone from the State’s Emergency Operations Center or I will then be in touch with you with more information.

Please help us connect our communities with food resources and information!

Thank you very much,

Jenna
