To begin, let me give a big thank you to Keilah Figueroa who graciously offered her musical gift of voice on Easter Sunday. Her renditions of “Christ is Risen! Shout Hosana!” and “Panis Angelicus” were both stunning in their different interpretations and supported our mission of “Serving God Through Music”. I am grateful to Keilah when she returns home to Greensboro and offers to perform at a worship service. She is a dream to work with and I hope we have many more collaborations!

Secondly, I want to give heartfelt thanks to the Church Board for supporting my request to serve GUCC part-time in 2023. I have asked for a contract with dates of April 1 to December 31, 2023. Many of you have asked the “why” and the simple answer is this: our lives have changed. I have retired from AchieveGlobal, my mediation practice and most recently from Craftsbury Chamber Players as the Executive Director. Joe has retired from Global Foundries in Saratoga, so we find ourselves entering a new chapter.

We would like to live in Saratoga (where we have a house) during the months of January, February and March.

The benefits of this proposed 9-month time period are that I will be present for Lent, Easter, the Greensboro summer, Advent and Christmas. With that, we have decided to keep it simple and search for a musician to provide piano only to support and lead worship services during January, February and March.

We would appreciate your help: please assist us in this search for a pianist. If you, or someone you know is interested in helping out, please contact us and we would be most happy to speak with them and answer any and all questions.

With thanks from the bench.
