Welcome & Announcements

Call to Worship

One: Every year we celebrate Christmas.
Many: Every month we break bread.

One: Every week we gather for worship.
Many: Every day we count our blessings.

One: Every minute God is near.
Many: Yes, every minute God is near.

One: These are the rituals of our faith.
Many: Let us worship Holy God.

Opening Prayer

*Gloria Patri   #36

Glory be to the Creator, and to the Christ and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen. Amen.

*Hymn: #153 (Songs of Spirit) What Child Is This, Who, Laid to Rest

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever.

Offertory

*Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen.

*Unison Prayer of Dedication
We give today, believing that faith is a journey marked by rituals and rhythms. We come to worship. We offer grace. We hear the Word. We break the bread. And we tell the story of a loving God. May our gifts today echo that story and share that love in all of God’s creation so that all would know the nearness of God. Amen.
