Opening Prayer
*Gloria Patri #36
Glory be to the Creator, and to the Christ and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the
beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
*Hymn: #317 (Songs of Spirit) Soul, Adorn Yourself with Gladness
Unison prayer of confession:
Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart, nor have
we loved our neighbors as ourselves. We have fallen short of your glory in thought,
word, and deed. We have held onto anger, resentment, and unforgiveness. We have
failed to be your compassionate presence in the world. Forgive us, we pray, and
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Assurance of pardon

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer
Our God, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever.
*Hymn: #107 (Songs of Spirit) All Hail the Power of Jesus’s Name!
*Benediction
Go now in the freedom of Christ — Not freedom to rest in comfort, but freedom to rise and serve. Go in the strength of our God who hears every cry, who lifts every burden, who breaks every chain. And may the God of justice, the Christ who liberates, and the Spirit who empowers – guide our steps until freedom rings for us all. Amen.
Songs of Spirit: #349 Go in Peace
Go in peace and the peace of God
be with you this day.
Go in peace and the peace of God be with you al-ways.
Cel-e-brate and share the joy! Cel-e-brate new life!
Go in peace and the peace of God be with you always.
